Founded in 1967, Crown Center consists of two high-rise buildings with a total of 244 apartments. Our lifestyle offers privacy and independence, as well as a professional staff and vibrant neighborhood. The community at Crown Center is diverse, from various cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds. Ages 62 and better, some residents are fully retired, others are still employed and all have a variety of interests and abilities. This mix contributes to making Crown Center a wonderful place to live. Activities are open to those living in the neighborhood.

The University City neighborhood in which we are located is walkable and close to hwy 170 and 40. You're steps from Delmar Boulevard, plus you'll have affordable and reliable group transportation thanks to the Crown Center bus.

Crown Center’s Affordable Housing Waiting List is now open for the HUD-Subsidized one-bedroom apartments in the Weinberg Building — 8348 Delcrest Drive. We do not currently have apartments available in the Weinberg Building but we are maintaining a waiting list. You can get on the waiting list by completing an application.

Effective September 28, 2022, Crown Center will open the Waiting List for the HUD-Subsidized and Market Rate one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments in the Crown Center Phase 1 Building, 8350 Delcrest Drive. Applications will be accepted beginning September 28, 2022. If you are applying for the Crown Center Phase 1 Building please note if you are able to move-in January, February or March of 2023.  That is when leasing will begin for that building.

Applications and the Tenant Selection Plan for the Crown Center Phase 1 Building will be available starting September 28, 2022  either by calling Crown Center at 314-991-2055 and requesting to have these documents mailed, emailed OR can be picked up in the Crown Center office at 8350 Delcrest Drive.

Applications are currently available for the Weinberg Building.  Call 314-991-2055 to get an application.

There is no fee or obligation to apply to either building.
