Founded in 1967, Crown Center consists of two high-rise buildings with a total of 244 apartments. Our lifestyle offers privacy and independence, as well as a professional staff and vibrant neighborhood. The community at Crown Center is diverse, from various cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds. Ages 62 and better, some residents are fully retired, others are still employed and all have a variety of interests and abilities. This mix contributes to making Crown Center a wonderful place to live. Activities are open to those living in the neighborhood.

Our Neighborhood

The University City neighborhood in which we are located is walkable and close to hwy 170 and 40. You're steps from Delmar Boulevard, plus you'll have affordable and reliable group transportation thanks to the Crown Center bus.

Crown Center maintains a waitlist for the Affordable Tax Credit and Market Rate apartments in the Crown Center Phase 1 Building, (8350 Delcrest Drive). You can try to qualify for the waitlist by submitting an application.

Crown Center’s waitlist is closed for the subsidized Section 8 one-bedroom apartments in the Weinberg Building (8348 Delcrest Drive) and the subsidized Section 8 one-bedroom apartments in the Crown Center Phase 1 Building (8350 Delcrest Drive).  Applications for these rental plans are not currently being accepted.

Applications are available by calling Crown Center at 314-991-2055 and requesting to have these documents mailed, emailed OR picked up at the Crown Center office (8350 Delcrest Drive) 10am – 1pm Monday – Friday.

Applications must be returned by mail or dropped off in the Crown Center office between the hours of 10am – 1pm, Monday – Friday.

There is no fee or obligation to apply for an apartment
