Thank you to the Regional Business Council for funding new equipment for Crown Center’s meal program, improving our ability to directly impact and support 75 -100+ older adults every week (five meals per week per person) by delivering fresh, safely sealed meals in stackable containers that are safe for microwave, freezer, and oven, have an appealing presentation, and are easy to open, making meal preparation manageable for older adults.

From the Crown meal prep and delivery perspective, the new heat-sealed containers will provide improved preparation efficiency, keep meals fresh longer, be compactly stored and safely transported, while also being recyclable. This system will allow Crown to prepare additional meals for those who have greater needs and are at higher risk of poor nutrition and decline, increasing our capacity to do more for those we serve.
