Hanukkah was celebrated early this year but as always, our Crown Center board members came out in great numbers to support us and volunteer at our dinner.  We were lucky to have several generations of volunteers with us.  One board member brought her grandson who got to help serve dinner with the son of another board member.

Some of the kids (hopefully future Crown Center board members) spent time playing games with the Crown Center residents. The kids were able to hear Yiddish Hanukkah songs sung by those who had been unable to publicly celebrate Hanukkah as citizens of the former Soviet Union. What a joy to be able to hear them sing with pride.
